Learn to Play Bridge
What is Bridge?
It's a fascinating card game that will test and develop your problem-solving abilities. Played by four people in two partnerships, it doesn't take too long to learn the basics, but it can then take a lifetime to master! It's also fun, social, and a great way to meet new friends.
If you want to know a little more about the game before you dive in, check out this page on the English Bridge Union website. You'll find a couple of simple videos that explain the basics and also some quotes from celebrities who share our love of the game!
So, want to learn? We can help!

NEED PRACTICE?
Maybe you've completed a course for beginners and want to move onto the next step. Or maybe you are thinking of returning to the game after a break and need to build up your confidence?
If you have already learnt the basics and want to take your Bridge to the next level, practice in a supported environment where you can make mistakes and ask questions is the ideal next step.
The following sessions cater for players who need some support. It's a good idea to make contact before you go for the first time.
If none of these options work, do get in touch - we may be able to find you some friendly, local players happy to make up an informal foursome either Face-to-Face or online.

READY FOR A CLUB?
Once you have been playing for a while and are comfortable playing at a reasonable pace (and without your notes!), the next step is to join a club. Playing Face-to-Face in a club is a great way to meet new friends and there are many clubs in Devon, all very keen to welcome new members.
A lot of clubs operate a host system so you can join in even if you don't have a regular partner.
If you join a club that is affiliated to the English Bridge Union (EBU), you will automatically become a member. EBU-affiliated clubs in Devon are HERE.
There are many more clubs in Devon that are not EBU-affiliated, see HERE.
If you want some help finding the right club for you, do get in touch and we'll try and point you in the right direction.
